No. Things were just as described upon booking. We knew what to expect with room size, and even still, my partner and I enjoyed the bed size and quality, and also loved how cold we could make the room. Great stay for us!

The hotel is very close to Otsuka station (1-3 minute walk) which has a lot to offer and is right on the JR Yamanote line. They also offer early check-in/late check out-out for up to 3 hours at an additional ¥3,000 per hour which is extremely helpful!

A few times the bathroom would just kind of smell and because the room is so small it smells up the room turning on the fan didn't really help, nor did having the room cleaned. You can open the window which helps, but be mindful. Very small thing though.

Super clean, cozy feeling, perfect for solo travelers. Very comfortable bed. 2 min walk to the station that has a Starbucks, bakery, clothing shops etc. 5 stations from Shinjuku. Really liked the coziness, slept so good there. Definitely recommend

The self check in process was a bit slow in my opinion also being after a long flight and had to understand the instructions on the screen. I get the idea of it. But the stuff helped everyone there so it’s not so self check in anymore. I think it would take a lot less time if it was done by the reception.

The room was too small, and we were not allowed to use air conditioning for two days due to maintenance.

Comfortable hotel in great location. Very clean with daily fresh towels, excellent breakfast with onsen /spa on the top floor which is wonderful!

Too bad there isn’t a gym in the hotel that you can do a quick workout in the morning that would make it absolutely perfect. Also, the lack of English speaking staff at the front desk is a little bit of a problem was very hard to communicate with them. Everything else was great!

Proximity to Otsuka station. Average size rooms, clean and good working air con.

Room size bit smaller but noticed that it is the average room size when compared to Japan.

I loved the location and how clean and modern everything is.

Overall ok, but no laundry service; late check outs costly.

The hotel does not offer a laundry service, which I thought that they did in the past. In addition, the hotel offers a late checkout, but charges 2,000 yen per hour.

The location is golden. Really enjoyed traveling next to the station. Would stay again in Otsuka.

The hallways felt old because of the rug. The cleaning is not super thorough. The washing machines get a lot of congestion sometimes.

They charge you if you want to check in 50 minutes before check-in time. So ridiculous for this big chain hotel. Nowhere in the reservation did they state that they charge to request an earlier check-in. And the room was a available but they wanted to charge me to drop off my bags in the room and change my clothes. I would never had reserved this hotel had I known that they charge for a 50 minute early check-in.

Breakfast was good. Location was perfect as very near to Metro Station and moving around Tokyo was quite easy. Staff was good.

There was a great view of mt Fuji from the hotel room on a clear day.

Could not check in early and the shop on the 2nd floor was not open.

Location was ideal. The small town feel of Otsuka but with all you need and the closeness of the Yamanote Line (look it up) train station to the hotel was perfect. Housekeeping is every three days with all amenities replenished. The bed was super comfortable, the room was efficient and well designed with all I needed. Possibly the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The sheets are ironed. And the largest tv screen. The staff goes out of their way to help. Big breakfast buffet is wonderful.

Although I love that it is a non-smoking property sometimes people do smoke in their room and it stinks up the hallways.

Close to Otsuka JR station and shops / restaurants around the area. Clean, well maintained room with daily replenishment of towels and condiments.

Laundry facility was always full, need more washers and dryers. No ironing kit in the room. Typical small APA style room as expected. Check-in time is inflexible.
